An Employee to Copy

The other night my wife and I were discussing the fact that so many folks today, especially younger employees, have no interest in providing exemplary service. Their attitude so often wreaks of indifference. You know – you’ve experienced it.

So it comes as quite an ironic twist that one day after that discussion I run into Jamie at Mimeo.

The thing is, I know that Mimeo has really excellent service. I have been using their printing/shipping services for three years and have never had a bad experience with anyone I have ever spoken to at the company.

But Jamie went beyond good service – she provided exemplary service.

In a nutshell, the document I wanted printed was not sizing correctly. Jamie spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me trying to correct the document, and 20 minutes of that time she wasn’t supposed to be on the clock.

When we could not solve the problem she offered to pick up the issue first thing in the AM and run it past some folks that knew a bit more about formatting than she did.

She said she would call back first thing in the morning.

And guess what?

She did.

And the problem was solved.

And Jamie is a woman of her word.

And Mimeo is doing something very right.
